Introduction to Jiangsu Yew Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd Yew Plantation:Jiangsu Yew Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd has established 8 million m2 yew ecological garden. Now there are 17 million yew trees over three years old. Over 4 million yew seedlings are planted each year. It is the largest yew seedling base in China and one of the largest bases in the world. The yew sci-tech garden adopts advanced GAP quality management to cultivate Taxus chinensis var.mairei in a large scale. It adopts ELISA to determine paclitaxel content and breed yew with high content of paclitaxel gene. In the coming three years, it will plan to 20 million m2 plantation and meet the need of 500kg paclitaxel material. Equipment:Paclitaxel raw material factory was established in Nov.2005 per cGMP standard. It has 28800m2 standard factory with an investment of 80 million yuan. It owns most advanced full auto-production line, complete processing equipment and mating sewage disposal system. It has complete processing technology from crude product to refined product. It can treat 9000 tons of branch, leaf and bark, and refine over 300kg finished product of paclitaxel each year. As well, its annual productivity is 500kg. In the coming five year, it will form an industrial chain from yew resource cultivation to branch and leaf processing, paclitaxel extract, paclitaxel crude product and refined product and its preparation.
